ABOUT ME
👋🏽 Hi, I'm Anjali Kanvinde — a backend-focused software engineer and incoming Master's student in Data Science at University of Massachusetts, Amherst (UMass Amherst).
💻 I bring 4+ years of experience building robust, cloud-native systems using Java, Spring Boot, SQL/NoSQL, Python, Jenkins, and Splunk monitoring in organisations like Deutsche Bank, Nomura and various start-ups.
⚙️ I've contributed to high-performance microservices and backend architectures serving thousands of users, with an emphasis on scalability, observability, and clean design.
📚 My academic work includes IEEE-published research on sign language translation and satellite-based flood detection — reflecting a growing interest in AI for accessibility and environmental insight.
🧠 Through my graduate studies, I'm deepening my expertise in machine learning, statistics, and data engineering — preparing to work at the intersection of AI, systems, and human-centered design.
🎨 Outside of tech, I'm passionate about digital art, storytelling, creative coding, and currently learning Japanese. I'm also exploring the possibilities of immersive media like AR/VR.
✨ I'm excited to collaborate on impactful, interdisciplinary projects that blend technical depth with creativity and purpose.
